Hello everyone, this is a brief introduction to those of you who've not met either Ben or Romina before.
Ben was born in New York City, but mostly grew up in Morristown, New Jersey. After college at MIT, he worked for a year with Morgan Stanley in New York City. He then spent 5 years at the Stanford Graduate School of Business for his PhD in economics as well as masters degrees in other fields. (How many degrees does he have?) After a year as the energy and transportation economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers, he is now an assistant professor of economics at the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Ben's personal website is at www.benho.org.
Romina (aka Ro, Roro, nana, ma wing shan) was born in Hong Kong and mostly grew up there except for a few years in Vancouver, Canada. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford, and is now at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She will be graduating with her MD on May 22nd, 2008. She has a month's vacation before she starts her internship and residency in internal medicine at an as yet unknown location (to be revealed to her in March 2008!). She's too lazy to keep her personal website up, but has some of her photography online athttp://www.flickr.com/photos/blueclouds/sets/.
Some of our shared interests include photography, travel, food (consuming and cooking) & wine, and......wandering.
